Cards for May Classes

Yep it's nearly May, Hi there Creators!

I will be offering the same 4 cards at all of my classes this month, Class dates are Wednesday 1st at 10.30am in Laanecoorie, Thursday 2nd at 10.30am and 7.30pm in Laanecoorie, and Saturday 4th at 10am in Maryborough , so let's get into it.....

Card #1 I finally succumbed to This Little Piggy Stamp set (and I can say it is going into the next annual catalogue) yay!
don't know if you can see the background, however I did you a close up just in case :) although I'm not sure it shows it any better lol  the secret is it uses theTimeless Textures Stamp set (sadly retiring) heat embossed with clear or white embossing powder.
Moving onto card #2, I thought it would be nice to showcase this Designer Series Paper before it's gone,
It's the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper, I didn't like it much to begin with, but have to admit it has grown on me!
Card #3 again I wanted to showcase this Best Route Designer Series Paper, as I haven't really used it much, funnily enough Sara Douglas (CEO of Stampin' Up! produced a really similar card to this at the recent OnStage event, and I already had this made up and waiting at home, OH I must be "On Trend" lol)  Sad to say the Celebrate You thinlits are on their way out.
Last but not least, as Mother's day is looming on the horizon, thought we'd do a cute 2 pack
Using the Varied Vases Stamp set and Well Said stamp set, and a clever way of using the Stamparatus to create the main card, then a little "gift card tag"  It doesn't have to be a mothers day card, just change the saying and you can have what ever you like!

And as Porky Pig says at the end..... "That's All Folks" (thought that was kind of appropriate with the Piggy card lol)

I hope these have inspired you to create, and I look forward to seeing you if you can make it to a class
God Bless love

Daisy Lane Stamp set

Hi Creators,
Today I thought I'd mix the old with the new, New Stamp set and punch - old colours.

Stampin' Up have a 3 Tier's of Stampers system currently, Beginner Stamper, Casual Crafter and Avid Stamper (no prizes for guessing which category I'm in lol).   However I thought yesterday I'd try out a series of 3 cards 1 for each category using exactly the same stamp set and accessories.

So for the beginner Stamper, it's kept as basic as possible #simplestamping I've picked 3 colours, a pair of Paper Snips (scissors) my Daisy Lane stamp set and an embellishment (Oh and a dimensional)
The colours I chose are Berry Burst, Tranquil Tide and Powder Pink, which sadly we're saying goodbye to as they are the In Colours that are retiring with this current catalogue :(  I've stamped the stem first, then added the large flower and saying, the small flower is stamped on spare Vanilla card, and cut out with the paper snips, and then it covers the gap between the stem and the flower, up on a dimensional, and the last touch is to add the Gold Faceted Gem. The idea for the beginner stamper is to show what you can create without needing to have heaps of stampin' goodies!  So Potentially with this card, you could go with the Vanilla Notecards and envelopes which cost $11.25 and you get 20 (only 61c for a card and envelope), then I figured might as well have the pack of the 5 in colours which when you buy the as a pack it saves you on the overall total of buying them separately, so that's $58.50 for the 5 together. (although if you just wanted the 3 it would be $39) then there's the stamp set, in this case Daisy Lane (which I can't link to as it's not yet available) but I can say it's $40, and lastly the Gem, which for a pack of 72 is only $8.75 (wow 12c per gem!)  I'm going with the assumption that most people can find a pair of scissors :) The overall initial cost being between $99 and $118.50, which initially works out to between $5.21 and $6.23 per card, based on 19 cards (sacrificing a card to use for cutting up) however, then you only need to buy more vanilla cardstock and you have everything else, so the next lot of cards you make spiral down to 59c per card!!  I challenge you to find as nice a card for that price in a shop!
HOWEVER....  moving onwards to the Casual Crafter I have this:
again I've used the same colours, a bit more of the vanilla cardstock with the addition of 2 panels one is 7.4cm x10.5cm (which is A4 cut into 8) and the other slightly smaller is 9.9cm x 10cm (which is A4 cut into 9) the larger panel I've sponged round the edge of with the Berry Burst ink, and also a little extra for the saying which uses a new punch Timeless label, (actually it's larger than this but I've punched it down to size) then added a little snippet of the new scalloped lace trim under it, and obviously the introduction of the fern stamp in the background (from the same stamp set)

Then lastly moving onto the "Avid Stamper" I have this:
I've folded the front of the card back onto itself to create a more unusual card, then used the smaller panel as a mask before stamping on it to create the place to write inside the card, then turned it over and done my flower, as it's backed onto the larger panel you don't see the extra stamped marks on the back of it, I've picked up the gold in the faceted gem and used some gold glimmer paper behind the saying (let's face it most avid stampers have sparkly glimmer papers! lol)

And that's it from me today, if you're planning to place an order for anything (especially retiring goodies) Click this link to see the retiring goodiesUse this hostess code to go in the draw to win the FREE Stampin' Rewards: KRVFSXJF unless you're order is over $250 in which case don't use the code as you'll be entitled to the rewards for yourself, or if you're part of my Craft@Home group, in which case use this code:  CY99NYVJ

Hope this has inspired to you create!

OnStage Auckland

Hi Creators,
Well I'm fresh back from Auckland, New Zealand and the Stampin' Up! OnStage Event, OnStage is the name Stampin' Up! currently give their Conventions, this one was a 3 day event.
Thought I'd share some of my happy snaps with you all. (there's a lot more than this lol)
Here I am with my roomie Annette, for those of you who don't know me personally I'm the one in the green on the left.

this was the evening before it all started, we thought it best to go and check out where everything was!  and in the process did get a sneaky peeky of new stuff, do you spy anything?

this was where we collected our goodie bags from the next day, and then saw lots of people wandering round Auckland with these bags over the next 3 days (and at the airport lol)
Obviously I am "on trend" as this is one of my favourite colours!
So our days were divided into 3 sections once we got going, mornings we were in a big auditorium  where we watched stamping presentations, done by Stampin' Up! staff and other demonstrators, we had an introduction to the Maori dances, Haka and some others, which was amazing, lunch time and some make & take time, then lastly back to the auditorium again.
Sara Douglas the CEO of Stampin' Up! gave a very inspiring talk (she's always spot on!)
In the evening on Thursday, if you're title is Silver Elite or above (mine is) we were taken out to an amazing dinner at the Auckland War Memorial Museum I think there was around 100 of us there (approx 600 at the conference itself)
 the Auckland War Memorial Museum
the Entree of our meal (I ate the main course before I thought to take a photo) believe me it was delicious lol behind the meal is a gift to all of us, a lovely Stampin' Up! Vanilla coloured purse bag, with a new punch in it (yay products!)
We were up at the top of the museum in a domed room with windows all round, and amazing views of Auckland.  Here I am with Sara Douglas CEO of Stampin' Up!

and here I am with the rest of my table all Eureka Stamper girls (my upline's team)
It's so inspiring to be with so many other ladies (and guys) who've worked their businesses and got to this milestone.
On to Friday (don't think I should show you all the photos as we'll be here all day, but if you want to see them let me know and I'm happy to show off)
During the days they have what they call Prize Patrol, everyone has a number 1 to 6 and each of these numbers by the end of the conference has won a prize patrol I was number 5, and here I am with my Prize Patrol stamp set
now I just have to find the time to play with it!  So many amazing new products in the new catalogue which we were given on our first day (kind of a highlight of the whole convention), also given our PPP (product purchase premiere) list, these are products we're allowed to order from the new catalogue, within a limited timeframe, only those who go to Onstage are entitled to this perk, and as I have a team day coming up on 27th, I wanted to get some new goodies to share with my team.  Oh how exciting!  by the way if you're not part of my team and are thinking you'd like to be, get in touch and I'll tell you more!

So some product sneak peeks...... the first 2 will be available in the new catalogue

this next one is a world wide "Paper Pumpkin" Kit that Shelli Gardener (Co-founder of Stampin' Up!) has designed, it will be available from 15th May.  The Paper Pumpkin kits have a stamp set, and components to make a few cards this one will have 12 cards of 4 designs with matching envelopes, it will be limited time offer, so I'll let you know more when I know more!
on the last day we had some Leadership training (again for Silver Elite and above), when we went in the room this is how the tables were set up - so beautifully!
What's in the box?  have to admit it was hard to open it, as there's a gorgeous sticker going over the opening that we didn't want to ruin lol, however it was food goodies, popcorn, a biscuit with the icing stamped "Stampin' Up!" and a 3 pack of Ferrero Rocher chocolates (yumm)

If you've made it to this point, Congratulations! and thanks for reading it all!

Couple of important notes to let you know, the retiring list has come out today, so if there's anything you were after get onto my business website and check it out (or click here: Retiring List) if you're not sure if something is/was on the list and you need to know, just ask me!  Also big news we're not going to stock the Bigshot anymore and the Trimmer has gone, both to be replaced although not 100% sure when yet, so if you need more trimming blades, best get on and order them or they'll run out!  If you're placing an order do use this code to go in the draw for free stuff: KRVFSXJF
however if you're placing an order of over $250 don't use the code as you'll be entitled to Free Stampin' rewards of your own 😀 Or you could just join and only pay $169 for $235 of products! (ask me!)  And if you're part of my Craft@Home group, use this code: CY99NYVJ

Well I think that had better be it from me for today, if you are part of school holidays I hope you're having a great time! and find time to have a little relaxing stampin'
God Bless love
