Cards for October

Hi there!
well we're in the thick of school holidays now, but I have finally found a few minutes to let you know the cards we'll be creating in my classes in October.

I'll just go with the order I made them in, so first up is this beautiful bouquet from "wishing you well" stamp set, I've loved the bouquet and bow since I set eyes on them in the holiday catalogue, they are what Stampin' Up! calls Distinktive stamps, which means that they create different opacities in a single stamped image, it's really amazing
doesn't it create such a beautiful subtle image?  I've also used the Swirly Frames stamp set with this card too.
Card #2 I had to use this Buffalo Check stamp, oh my goodness it's fabulous!
I've teamed it up with the His Light stamp set, I do love the font in this set! then added a couple of the gorgeous Red Rhinestone basic jewels.
Moving onto Card #3 this was again one of those I couldn't resist stamp sets lol, "Trick or Tweet" it's meant to be Halloween, but I'm not big on that, however how can you resist the elephant, and the other animals?
I've teamed it up with 2 stamp sets,  Birthday Backgrounds (how about those streamers?) and Itty Bitty Greetings (only for the Happy Birthday, but it's a really handy stamp set for all the greetings in it!).
Ok last card.... back to Christmas!  I've used the Merry Christmas to All/Merry Christmas Thinlits bundle, lovely combination of Christmas sayings you can produce with this bundle!
I've teamed it up with the lovely "All is Bright Designer Series Paper", the Decorative Ribbon Punch, and the Merry is cut from the fabulous Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper.

Well that's it! hope you can join us, the dates for these classes are next Saturday 6th Oct 10am in Maryborough, then Wednesday 10th at 10.30am and 7.30pm in Laanecoorie.  Do let me know if you plan to come along. Look forward to seeing whoever can make it, and if you can't I hope these have inspired you to create!

Santa's Workshop Memories & More Card Pack

Hi There,
I did a recent video to show all the cards and bits that you receive with the Santa's Workshop Memories & More Card pack  and the Cards & Envelopes as I couldn't find one that showed them all, (and I like to know these things, so I'm guessing others do too!)  I know I've shown some of the cards before under the "More Sneak Peeks" but now the catalogue is live I can show you the page it's on too (yay!)
And although I've said it before I'll say it again lol  these would make fabulous cards for your kids to give to their friends at school, so quick & easy to make up a heap, and a bit more special than the regular shop bought ones, and really inexpensive!   Funnily enough I also discovered that you can buy the cards & envelopes, the Memories & More kit plus Santa's bags, Enamel Shapes, Bakers Twine and Dimensionals all in a pack together! (how cool?!) check it out by clicking on this link: Santa's workshop Supplies Kit.
Ok well hopefully this video was helpful to you!
and I hope it inspires you to create

Tag Card for September

Hi There!

Thought I'd reveal the card that you will get the components to make when you place an order with me this month (and just explain briefly how to put it together!)
Here is the card: (colours look much better in real life, despite several attempts at photographing it!)
Notice the re-occurrence of the Botanical Tags Framelits? did I mention how much I love these dies lol! I've also used the Perennial Birthday stamp set for the wording.

The tag itself is this bit, I'm showing here how to add the green colour behind the leaves, just trim the green till it fits, and stick it down!
Add the tag ribbon to the back of the Highland Heather piece of card, I've added 2 lines of Snail Adhesive down the back of the sheet then laid out the ribbon on it, to attach it down, I've then gone with dimensionals to add this to my card, and attached the tag on top.
Doesn't it look good with the green under the leaves? and that Berry Burst Metallic Edge ribbon is so soft and way more vibrant in colour than I can manage to photograph :(
I have a special offer on top of this for those who order from me this month, see below:

Shop for Freedom 13th September

Hi there!

Coming up this Thursday evening from 7pm at Enjoy Church (10 Phillips Drive, Kangaroo Flat) is the Shop for Freedom night, ($5 entry) it's a great fun evening where you can purchase good quality "op shop" type items, be pampered, enjoy food and friendship, and also make some cards!! (that's where I come into it, in case you hadn't guessed!!)
The funds raised from the evening go directly to Collective 61 - an Enjoy Church initiative partnering with Organisations in Cambodia who fight against human trafficking.

Anyway as I mentioned I'm going to be doing a little stand where for a gold coin donation you can make a card, I thought I'd show you the cards I have planned, I was going to stick to one card, but of course sticking to one thing isn't really my style - lol

So card #1 uses the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, also the Balloon Bouquet Punch and the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper, with a couple of the circle punches (bit of a punch card really!) The saying comes from the Soft Sayings Card Kit (gee this one has some great stamps in it, I often seem to go to it!)  It's a nice simple card, as I'm pretty sure there'll be a variety of people there some who will have never had a go at stamping before! (hopefully I can lure them in lol)
Card #2 is this one:  Oh my goodness how fabulous is Santa on his scooter? lol again quite a simple card, purely uses "So Santa" stamp set, I've coloured mine in with Stampin' Blends, but I'll be offering either the Watercolour Pencils on the night or they can just stamp and take it home to colour it in.
I would have loved to offer more cards to make, but I don't think there would be the space.   Having said that coming up on Thursday 25th October I'll be doing an evening Card making fundraiser - same place, same cause, more cards! but more on that later (watch this space as they say!)

That's it for now, I hope these inspire you to create at home!
God bless love

Botanical Tag Thinlits

Hi There,
One of my "must have" items from the annual catalogue I now have!  funny isn't it how you keep putting off and putting off getting something then finally bite the bullet and go for it!
I'm certainly not regretting this buy!

If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll have seen an appearance of these dies back on the 31st August in my Interactive class for September blog
However after that I had a bit more of a play with some of the bits I didn't use much the first time round, and I'm hooked! lol
Let me show you. Da, Da......The Botanical Tag Thinlit Dies........

how pretty is this rose?, I've teamed it up with Floral Phrases stamp set, and I think it works well :) I've also used the die cut piece to form a mask that I used on the background piece.

Next up I wanted to use the birds again, and I hadn't used the branch leaves in the other work I did....

again teamed up with the same stamp set Floral Phrases, just a very simple card, I love the delicacy of it.
And last but not least (possibly my favourite of the 3)

again I've used the leaves, this time to form a wreath round Santa with his Pineapple Drink and board shorts gotta love him! He and his saying comes from So Santa Stamp set, which was instantly on my list of Must Haves as soon as I saw it, go and check out the other stamps in it!  I've used a few of the Red Rhinestones around the wreath too, gives a spot of bling :)  Those who know me, know I'm not keen on being cold, so the saying works really well for me lol.

I hope you have enjoyed these cards, and it has inspired you to create at home, do click on any of the links to check out the products, and if you are purchasing, do add in the current hostess code: G43WBCJC for your chance to be in the draw for the free host rewards at the end of the month.  And check out the specials Stampin' Up! and I have for you when you order in the "Special's Happening" tab above.

Shimmer Paints

Hi There,
Only 4 days to go till the new Holiday Catalogue goes live!  Unless of course you're a demonstrator, in which case you'll most likely have ordered from it already!  (If you'd like to find out about becoming a demonstrator and joining my rapidly growing team, just ask :)

HOWEVER!  I'm here today to introduce you to the Shimmer Paints that are in the new Holiday Catalogue (if you have one they're on page 38)  Gotta tell you Vegas Gold closely followed by Bright Copper are my favourites.
I have done a video for you on how you can use the new shimmer paints as they're kind of hidden away on the page, and they're so fabulous that I figured you'd need a few tips.

They are waterbased, but you can heat set them for use on fabric (haven't shown that in the vid), let's just move onto it......
I hope you find this video useful, and do let me know if there's anything you'd like to see in a video.

I hope it inspires you to create,
God Bless love
