Something Saturday - Origami Envelopes

Image
Hi There Creators, Guess what? it's that time of the week again for Something Saturday!😃 This week I happened to be scrolling through Facebook and came across this origami envelope quick video, so I have deciphered the video (you know how they do it and it's so fast!) And I've worked out if you do it with 12x12" cardstock you get an envelope worthy of a card, and a 6x6" piece gives you a gift card sized envelope. Here they are: then I'll try and explain how to make them...... This first one is made using one of the 12x12" pieces of  Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and this smaller one uses one of the 6x6" pieces of Full of Life Designer Series Paper Now, how to create these envelopes: take your square piece of designer cardstock, and fold in 1/2 diagonally Open it up and fold one side in to the middle: then fold as shown: open up the bottom flap and fold in the sides fold up the bottom tuck the point bit inside the envelope (you might want t...

Shop for Freedom 13th September

Hi there!

Coming up this Thursday evening from 7pm at Enjoy Church (10 Phillips Drive, Kangaroo Flat) is the Shop for Freedom night, ($5 entry) it's a great fun evening where you can purchase good quality "op shop" type items, be pampered, enjoy food and friendship, and also make some cards!! (that's where I come into it, in case you hadn't guessed!!)
The funds raised from the evening go directly to Collective 61 - an Enjoy Church initiative partnering with Organisations in Cambodia who fight against human trafficking.

Anyway as I mentioned I'm going to be doing a little stand where for a gold coin donation you can make a card, I thought I'd show you the cards I have planned, I was going to stick to one card, but of course sticking to one thing isn't really my style - lol

So card #1 uses the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, also the Balloon Bouquet Punch and the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper, with a couple of the circle punches (bit of a punch card really!) The saying comes from the Soft Sayings Card Kit (gee this one has some great stamps in it, I often seem to go to it!)  It's a nice simple card, as I'm pretty sure there'll be a variety of people there some who will have never had a go at stamping before! (hopefully I can lure them in lol)
Card #2 is this one:  Oh my goodness how fabulous is Santa on his scooter? lol again quite a simple card, purely uses "So Santa" stamp set, I've coloured mine in with Stampin' Blends, but I'll be offering either the Watercolour Pencils on the night or they can just stamp and take it home to colour it in.
I would have loved to offer more cards to make, but I don't think there would be the space.   Having said that coming up on Thursday 25th October I'll be doing an evening Card making fundraiser - same place, same cause, more cards! but more on that later (watch this space as they say!)

That's it for now, I hope these inspire you to create at home!
God bless love
