Something Saturday - Last Chance List plus a simple card

 Hi There Creators,

Today I went through some of my goodies that are on the Last Chance List (click the link to see the list).

There's a heap that have been reduced, and heads up, check the individual prices before ordering the bundle, it may work out cheaper!

So then I saw a card design on a FB reel and thought that is so cool (and simple) I couldn't resist having a go and passing my "newfound" knowledge on to you all๐Ÿ˜ƒ (gotta love me๐Ÿคฃ)

I'm pretty sure the lady showing it off called it a Split Scene card, and I confess I did use the same Designer papers as she did (although I did ring the changes with stamps and ephemera choices)

Here is the first card I made (all retiring goodies), I used the North Pole Delivery Designer Paper, and the Traditional Labels Stamp set how cute is the little dog that presses out from the Designer Paper?

North Pole Delivery DSP, Stampin' Up!

Then in the video I made up this one, also using the North Pole Designer Paper, but this time incorporating the Christmas Greetings Mix & Match Cards & Envelopes, and the Greetings for You Mix & Match Ephemera Pack.  It's such a great way of using up really busy Designer Papers

North Pole Delivery DSP, Stampin' Up!

All you need to create this is a base card, Designer Paper 3 - 4cm smaller than your base card, a mat around 1cm bigger than your designer Paper, and a piece of white (or plain) colour card, same length as your designer Paper, but shorter height, as you'll be cutting it in 1/2, so maybe 3cm shorter.

Then you cut a wavy pattern in the white and stick it all together, add some ephemera/ stamps/ sayings etc and voila!  If you plan to stamp, potentially you might want to do that before sticking it all down!

Anyway if you missed the video, here it is....

I hope you are inspired by my creations

God Bless love

CreateAlong December 2025

 Hi There Creators

Today is my Something Saturday CreateAlong ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

In case you didn't order the kit and you need the measurements they are below, and here are the mini cards and suitcase I created. (Make sure you're on my email list so you get details about the next CreateAlong)

CreateAlong, North Pole Delivery, Stampin' Up!

I'll be using one of the Suitcase Treat boxes which were on the clearance rack, and have now sold out, so if you do want one, let me know! I still have a couple spare.
If you have one already you'll be needing:

  • Plain coloured Cardstock (2 of) 3 1/2" x 2 3/4" Plus (2 of) 1" x 2 1/2", Plus (2 of) 1" x 2 3/4"
  • (DSP) Designer series Paper (2 of) 3 1/4" x 2 1/2" Plus (2 of) 3/4" x 3 1/4", Plus (2 of) 3/4" x 2 1/2" * I recommend having a DSP you can cut images out of to "embellish" with I've used North Pole Delivery (click on link to see it)
When you cut your DSP for this, I recommend cutting a strip of 3 1/4" then take pieces off it in this order:
2 1/2",  3/4",  2 1/2", 3/4".  then cut 2 more strips of 3/4" and trim these down to 2 1/2" length, this will ensure your pattern goes round the box.

For the Card bases you'll need 2 x A5 sheets of white or vanilla (depends on what suits your DSP, score them lengthways at 7.4cm, then cut into 7cm strips and fold in 1/2 at the score line, this will give you 6 mini cards.

For the Cards you'll need: (note some measurements are inches some are cm! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ)
If you missed the video here it is:

I hope that you did CreateAlong with me, if you did, please send me a photo of your creations I'd love to see them.

God Bless love

Something Saturday - Swaps I received at Backstage

 Hi There Creators,

Well as most of you know I went to a Stampin' Up! leadership event called Backstage in Las Vegas recently, I made up 10 thankyou cards and 10 fancy fold cards (same design for each of the 10 cards) to be in an organised swap, and here is what I received in return (my fancy fold isn't in the line up, as I'll be showing that as a separate video later this month)

Oh and some of the goodies that were used in these cards have gone on the Last Chance list and been discounted ๐Ÿ˜ƒ  Best check it out here: Heathers online store

Card class in December

 Hi There Creators,

oops just realised Card class is on this Friday & Saturday (if you get my emails you'll already know this) but I hadn't done a Blog post to go with it!  The last Chance list was updated yesterday and seems to have a few of the goodies I'm using, so get over there and check it out there's some bargains to be had! (click this link:) Heather's Stampin' Up! Shop

Ok, we'll make this quick๐Ÿคฃ  Classes are Friday 5th at 1pm Laanecoorie, and Saturday 6th at 10.30am Maryborough.

Cards/projects we'll be making are:

This one uses Shepherds Care Stamp set( on the last chance list), and the ultra useful  Everyday Arches Dies

shepherds Care, Stampin' Up!

Next is this one, which you may recognise the inside of, if you've watched my videos (especially the one on 1st November) It uses the Gingerbread Man stamps & dies (which are on the last chance list)

Gingerbread Man, Stampin' Up!

Then we have this one which isn't a card, it's a gift card holder, I've used the Encircled with Love stamp set and Season of Elegance Designer Paper

Encircled With Love Stamps, Stampin' Up!

and last but not least one of these 2 cards that uses the Merry Christmas Stamp (also on last chance) and Cheers & Sips bundle (which oh my goodness I 've just discovered is also on the last chance list! yikes!) and incidentally if you're quick you can pick up the dies and stamp set individually cheaper than the bundle price!

And that's it!

Don't forget to book your place if you're coming

Something Saturday - Nutcracker Tags Kit

Hi there Creators,

Today I figured I'd crack open my Nutcracker Tags Kit (pardon the pun๐Ÿ˜ƒ)

I did discover there's more than you need in the kit, (and me being me, I had to make cards out of the tags, so I ended up with an extra card - woo hoo๐Ÿ’–)

Here are the tags this kit creates

Nutcracker Tags Kit, Stampin' Up!

Having made them up I discovered this much extra:

Nutcracker Tags Kit, Stampin' Up!
So I made this:

Then I made up these cards with the Tags:
this first one I used the Glass & Gardens Embossing folder on the Granny Apple green 1cm strips.

This next one uses a bit of the Real Red Shiny Ribbon down the side.

Then a length of the Shaded Spruce/Soft Sea Foam Bordered Ribbon.
Nutcracker Tags Kit, Stampin' Up!
And lastly some plain real red card strips down the sides of this one.

All nice and simple, but they make lovely cards!

If you missed the video, here it is:

If you'd like to purchase this kit you can go here:  Buy Nutcracker Kit, or let me know, and we'll work it out together!
I hope these inspire you to create!

Something Saturday - Faux Pleated Lines

 Hi there Creators

As I mention in the video, I'm sure I've seen this technique used, but I'm not sure this is exactly what I saw (or what it's called) as I couldn't find it again! (typical!)

Anyway, we're going with it ๐Ÿคฃ  I have used these in the video:

Encircled with Love Stamps, Delightful Decorative Dots, 2" circle punch, 2 3/8" circle punch,

However, click on the photos to see the full products I've used for each card.

Encircled with Love stamps, Stampin' Up!

How cute are the little Faceted Snowflakes in this next card?
traditional labels, Stampin' Up!

You absolutely need your Paper Trimmer to do this - the lines are invaluable!

Then I ended up making my swaps for Backstage (that I'm off to the US for this Friday) the girls at class suggested I used the "green & gold" for Aussie๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Encircled with Love stamps, Stampin' Up!

If you want to see how to create the lines, I show that in the video, here it is.....

I hope this inspires you to create.
