Here is the card I created in the video: and if you're interested in any of the goodies I've used, check them out here:  What Heather used

Thought you might like to see the embossing detail and bling a little closer..........

Then I couldn't resist the other idea floating around in my head

and this is how I created it, stamped saying first, then added a bit of paper over top then did the masking, so the pattern goes on both sides of the saying

don't have a photo of the masking, but if you watch the video you'll know how I do the masking!

And in case you missed it here is the video.....

I hope this inspires you to create

Something Saturday - Couple of Mens cards

 Hi there Creators,

Well today I'm showing off a way to use templates in the Annual Catalogue (page 24) to create a couple of Men's cards

Just in case you don't have a catalogue here it is, the 2 I chose to use are the circled ones.

And here are the cards:

Autumn Toile, Men's Cards, Stampin' Up!

I would have done my usual link that gives you all the goodies I've used, but for some reason I can't get it to work, so see below for the individual links:

Autumn Toile, Men's Cards, Stampin' Up!

Ok, so here goes......

Stamp sets I've used between the 2 cards are: Not 29 anymore, Long Time No See and With You in Mind

Papers I've used are Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper, Earthen Toned Metallic Paper, White and Vanilla

Inks are Early Espresso and Pecan Pie

and Bling is Low Profile Sparkle dots (top card I discovered the bling has retired 😞)

Something Saturday - DSP & Blends

 Hi There Creators

Today I thought I'd show off an idea that Claire our Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Development Manager showed us in a workshop the other day, I took it a bit further in one of my cards, let me know which card is your favourite!

If you'd like to see all the goodies I used on these cards click here:  DSP & Blends Turtles Cards

Here are the cards I ended up creating The first 2 I've just used the blends to go round each of the images on the designer paper, I really love the way the images get highlighted from it, almost a "stained glass effect"

This first card I also used the blend on the white card base under the Designer Paper to give a border

Turtle-y Cute, Stampin' Up!
This second card I used the Blend around the edge of the Designer paper to draw a line  (I did use a ruler to do this!) again to create a border.
Turtle-y Cute, Stampin' Up!
Then this last one I've gone round the edges again with the darker Pool Party blend, but then blended in the lighter one in all the gaps. I actually did go back around with the darker colour again at the end, and also used a ruler to draw the line around the edges of both the base card and the Designer Paper, I'm quite happy with the result

I hope this inspires you to have a go too

Something Saturday - Create Along

 Hi there Creators

Stampin' Up! had a Demonstrator only event the other day, and showed us how to create "one sheet wonders" from a piece of Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I got inspired and added a bit more into it, and you guys get to benefit from it 😃  I hope you do craft along with me in the video, but if you need a bit of extra help, I have a Create Along PDF for you (hopefully I can work out how to attach it!, let me know if it hasn't worked!)  List of what you need below photos.

Photos below of the 2 sets of cards I ended up creating:

Here is what I used for this first set of cards:  Kintsugi Inspirations  I used Stampin' Write Markers that will be retiring as they run out, but you could just as easily use the Stampin' Blends (alcohol markers) just use Memento ink with them rather than Stazon!

Inspiring Imperfections, Stampin' Up!

And these are the ones I created in the video, here is the link for all the goodies I used for these cards: Absolutely Charming (how pretty is this paper)!

Charming Days, Floral charm DSP, Stampin' Up!

If you are going to craft along to the video here is what you'll need:

  • One 12x12” Designer Paper (DSP)
  • One 12x12” Two tone Cardstock
  • Seven A5 base cards,(white or vanilla) scored and folded in ½ (if your DSP is quite white, it might be worth picking a colour for the last card)
  • Stampin' Trimmer
  • Glues (I used Stampin' Seal tape runner)
In the video we'll be creating 7 base cards that you'll then decorate up with a couple of die cut pieces or punches and a saying depending on what suits your cardstock/ what type of cards you need/ and what you have at hand.

Do let me know if you join in by posting a comment on whichever platform you watch, or even show me the cards you've created, I'd love to see them 😃

Here is the video:

I hope you are totally inspired to create!

Cards for October Classes

Hi There Creators,

So I'm organised enough that I have next months class cards worked out (woo hoo go me!🤣)

Classes are on:  Friday 3rd at 1pm in Laanecoorie & Saturday 4th October 10.30am in Maryborough.  As the 4th also happens to be World Card-Making Day I have permission from the church to use the hall for longer so we can watch it all together.  However, I totally recommend you register here, World Card Making Day registration, regardless of whether you'll be there or you won't be, as you can watch it in retrospect PLUS they did say there'll be gift afterwards for everyone who registers!  If you want to craft along with it you can purchase this kit and make it along with the presenters: Handmade & Heartfelt Kit

Anyway back to the cards for the month.....

First up, I don't think I've used this gorgeous Sunflower 3D embossing folder yet in a class, and Oh my goodness every time I use it, it packs a punch! to see all the goodies I used click here: Sunflowers Card.

Sunflowers 3D Embossing folder, Stampin' Up!

Then using some of the new gorgeous Lights of Aurora Designer Paper, check out all the goodies I used for this card here: Wishes on Aurora.

Then moving onto a couple of Christmas Cards, this one uses the Jar of Joy stamp set (and matching punch) along with the Iridescent treat bags check out all the goodies I used here; Sweet Christmas.

And the last card is this Christmas card, that uses this fabulous Merry Christmas Stamp and the lovely sparkly Misty Moonlight & Silver Edged Ribbon - see all the goodies I used here: Moonlight Christmas

Merry Christmas Stamp, Stampin' Up!

And that's it!, don't forget to let me know if you can make it.

I hope these inspire you to create whether you can or can't make it to the class

Also if you're keen to use these, but lack inspiration, I'll be offering a class (see details below the photos).
For these pictures I have just laid the pieces on top of the base cards, not stuck down, but just to check layouts, I've added a bit of the Real Red Shiny ribbon in the first one, that is going to be part of the class in November (details below)
