Thankyou for joining me today, I have been a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, since 2008. My blog will show you how to make cards and projects using Stampin' Up!'s fabulous products. And occasionally random extra stuff (that's the way I roll 🤣) Please do sign up to receive my emails, so you get my latest info.
Today I thought I'd show off this kit, which is really cute! Would make great kids cards (and even some Big kids would enjoy them I reckon!) It's the Pop Up Pals Kit (click the link to see it) you'll get to create 4 individual cards, and I think a bit of a bargain at $17.50 (just under $4.50 per card) which if you have had to buy a pop up card recently I'd imagine they are a lot more than that!, plus the added bonus of being able to say "I made it" 😍
Ok, so here are the 4 cards you'll create with this kit:
Then the insides of the cards:
How cool are these cards?! I love the pop out elements in them (and in fact even Tom (hubby) was impressed🤣)
Well today I just had to show off this idea I had for my new stamp set: "Long Time No See" (click the link to see it) I couldn't resist the idea of making the bodies longer, with pull out pieces.
I took a couple of "how to" photos as I was making this second card and thought I'd share with you:
First up stamp the dog on the top piece of card
Then add some body to him, plus stamp his tail and extra body onto other card, and cut out, then cut a slit at the end of his body, so you can slide in the second body section. the extra small rectangle of card, is to attach to this second body part so it won't slide out completely once the card is created, as you can see in the next photo
Then add some Adhesive Strips, stick it down to your card, and voila one sliding "behind"
In fact it's quite simple to create, and really cute!
If you haven't seen it and want to check out the video, here it is:
Being ultra-organised (or so it feels) and putting up the cards we'll be creating at classes in August. If you can make it, the Laanecoorie Class will be Friday 1st at 1pm, and the Maryborough one will be Saturday 2nd at 10.30am. Let me know if you plan to be there.
Remember to click on the links below if you want to see the products in all their glory😃
Card 3 uses the hilarious Not 29 Anymore Stamp set, I knew I had to have this one as soon as I saw it! Also uses the candles from the Sweet Jar Bundle (the punch used in the card above)
Last but not least this card uses the Charming Day Bundle, which I used in one of my videos not long ago, gee these dies are pretty!
And that's it folks!
I hope if you can't make it to either of the classes, that these cards inspire you to create at home.
last Saturday I showed you this embossing folder: Sunflowers 3D Embossing Folder, which is absolutely gorgeous! Its a large A5 sized folder. Today I thought I'd show you how I created the 2 pieces I showed off last week, you'll need (obviously the embossing folder!), a Stampin' Brayer, inks and Blending Brushes.
And here's what I created: I ended up cutting one of them into 1/4's and doing something different with each 1/4
then the next one I cut up into 2 long strips
If you've watched the video, you'll know I had to cut out a section owing to inking it up wrong, so I've cut this next one in 1/2 the other way, and created these 2 cards:
then lastly I kept one whole and created an A5 sized card front from it:
With this one I ended up embossing another piece and cutting some flowers out to add them up on dimensionals. I'm quite proud of it and hubby reckons its one of my best cards (high praise!) Absolutely no idea what I'm going to do with it (other than displaying it in my class room🤣)
One of things I thought I should highlight to you is that I decided to use my fine tip glue pen to add an interesting "plastic'y" texture to some of the flowers, usually I paint it on pretty thick to give a definitive shine, but this time I painted it on thinly and let it dry and you can see it gives a slightly wet/shiny look to it - must remember this in the future!
Today I have a new parcel of goodies to share with you, these products are now available online, I've added the links to each so you can check them out.
First up I showed the stunning Sunflower 3D Embossing folder (it's a large one being A5 sized)
I think I'll be showing off a couple of ways to use it next week (stay tuned!)
Then I moved onto the "Not 29 anymore" stamp set, which I absolutely love, it's definitely a keeper well after it retires!
Next up is Label Me Grateful Bundle (Stamps & Dies) I do like that the dies can be used on their own if you're not keen on the stamp set (personally I liked both)
Next up is a Suite, the Floral Charm Suite Collection Oh so pretty! I've given you the link to the whole collection but when you check it out, there is a drop down box to pick out individual items if you don't want the whole kit & caboodle!
And last but not least although it's not totally new, it is to me😃
I talked about doing something with the Sunflower 3D embossing folder, but in the end I couldn't resist using the floral Charm Suite to create these 2 cards:
After I'd coloured this first flower up, it reminded me of the rose from Beauty & the Beast, so as I didn't have a specific dome shape to fit it into I went with the die from the Label Me Grateful Bundle, and created the pedestal using the Labelled with Love Punch, and I figured the saying "so grateful for that heart of yours" went well with it
Then this one used the outside of the cut out from the above "dome" I actually cut off the leaves to colour them up then fitted them back on once I'd stuck the flowers down.
Ok, well that's it, if you missed the video here it is:
I hope this inspires you to have a go too (and possibly purchase some goodies?😃)
