Something Saturday - Impossible Card

Hi there Creators

I figured I'd try my hand at an "impossible" card today (not to be confused with the never ending card🤣)

But, just quickly don't forget to check out the retiring bargains in my Stampin' Up! shop (there's some great reductions!😉)

I think it's called "impossible" due to the fact it is made from one piece of A6 cardstock

I used the gorgeous Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper and the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle (Stamps, dies, embossing folder)  I figured they actually went quite nicely together.

The card I made up and showed in the video is this one:

I wanted a pop of colour hence the butterflies ended up in Berry Burst with some of the lovely Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls on them

then as I ended up cutting 2 sets of designer Paper I also made up this card , and coloured in the paper using Stampin' Blends (alcohol markers) so I could get graduation of colours.

I reckon you could probably make this card any size you like (although A6 sheet fits nicely in a C6 envelope!)
So my measurements are as follows:
  • score your card in 1/2 lengthways
  • on one side of the score line find the 1/2 way point and cut down from the edge to the score line
  • on the other side of the score line measure 2 1/2cm in each side and cut from the edge to the score line
  • then twist!
Check out the video to see how it works!

I hope this inspires you to create, and you have a go too

 Hi there Creators

Coming soon to a classroom near you.......🤣 Well, specifically Laanecoorie on 2nd May 1pm, then on 10th May 10.30am in Maryborough.  (the links for new goodies won't work till after the catalogue goes live on 7th May)

Turtle Textures EF, Stampin' Up!

then continuing on with new goodies, and the Cheers & Sips Bundle and the Celebratory Sips Designer Series paper, the Glass & Gardens Embossing folders & the Holographic Resin Dots Although to be honest I recommend getting the entire Celebratory Sips Suite as the only thing missing from my round up is the ribbon!

Celebratory Sips, Stampin' Up!

but wait the ribbon got used on this card.... Gold Striped Mesh ribbon (see told you, you need the suite!)🤣 this card uses the Spring Corners Bundle.

Something Saturday - Thankyou Kindly Kit

 Hi there Creators

having reviewed the video I notice the white cards of this kit really didn't show up well (I'm so sorry!)

On a positive note I did have a play around with the rest of kit and came up with some ideas, so check them out below...... If you do want to purchase the kit check it out here: Thankyou Kindly Kit.

Here are the cards as they're meant to be made:

Thankyou Kindly Kit, Stampin' Up!

They're much nicer in person than the photos make them out to be!  anyway I thought I'd try something different with them and this is what I came up with...

I used the leaves as a mask to create the soft background, by which time the leaves were green, so I added more (Old Olive) to the stems, and a bit of Blueberry Bushel to the circle edges, and voila, you can actually see the texture in the paper of the circles (same as the envelopes and white rectangle in the other card.  I think it looks quite fresh in these colours.

Thankyou Kindly Kit, Stampin' Up!

Then the other card I chose to use some of the lovely subtles colours: Soft Sea Foam for the leaves and creating the soft masked background, then Petal Pink for the flower, and I chose to leave the rectangle white (which shows up way better in person again!)

Thankyou Kindly Kit, Stampin' Up!

Although I'm not sure there's a way of splitting up the pieces to make something different, you can certainly make each card look different with a variety of colours!

Something Saturday - Bit of a Sneak Peek

 Hi Creators

I thought I'd show off a couple of the new Designer Series Papers coming up in the new Annual Catalogue.  The catalogue will "go live" for customers on 6th May, but if you want to get your hands on some of these goodies earlier you could join my team (and like me order them early!)😁

Joining is so easy, you pick out $235 of goodies (you can pick from the brand new stuff too) and only pay $169 (how's that for a deal?!)  You then get an ongoing discount on all your orders of 20%, plus you also qualify for the free 10% of any $35+ orders to spend on a future order (in essence giving you a 30% minimum saving) Win, Win!  The requirement after that to remain a "demo" is to order (through your own and /or others orders) around $470 per quarter, works out to just under $160 month (about $40 a week)  not so bad when you work it out to a weekly amount is it🤣  Anyway if your interest is "Piqued" ask me or check out more here: Join my team.

On to the cards I create in the video using the Beautiful Gallery Designer Series paper, ironically as thought I'd be playing with the other paper Celebratory Sips!  Ah well another time.

I wanted to showcase these Beautiful Gallery papers so that I didn't lose any of the beautiful design, so that's when the idea for these cards came about: (they are remarkably simple)

With Both cards I've used the Stamp Set "with you in mind", which is current (hence the link), and some new bling💎  The flowers card uses the upcoming Holographic resin dots, Oh and I silver heat embossed the sentiment, as I felt that would go well with the colours.

This next card uses the new 2025 -2027  In colour Flat Pearls (in this case the Secret Sea colour)

Something Saturday Wildflower Birthday Fancy fold Cards

 Hi there Creators,

Today I thought I'd show you something I saw at the Picture to Page show recently, the fold kind of fascinated me, so I went home and mocked up a practice one (and after several attempts with scrap paper finally got it worked out!) A4 style 😁

I decided to use the Wildflower Birthday Specialty Designer Series Paper  partly because I keep forgetting to use it, and I do love the gold foiling in it.  I ended up using Peach Pie A4 Card and Blueberry Bushel A4 to create the base cards with, then used the Nested Essentials Dies (so glad I bought these as they're incredibly useful), and Simply Said stamp set, which is my "go to" set, when I don't know what else to use🤣.

Here are the finished cards:

Wildflower Birthday, Stampin' Up, Fancy fold card

Wildflower Birthday, Stampin' Up, Fancy fold card

and just a few more photos to show you the back, side and bottom....

So to create....
The peach card (portrait) take a piece of A4 cut in 1/2 lengthways, and score in 1/2 at 14.8cm, from the 1/2 way point across the top fold of the card score down to each corner.
then measure down the sides from the top corners 7cm and mark, score from the top middle score lines down to the 7cm marks on each side.

The Blueberry (landscape) card.  take a piece of A5 card, score in 1/2 at 10.5cm, then mark the middle of the fold, and score down to each corner, then mark down on each side 5cm, and score from the central score mark down to the 5cm marks.

If you haven't seen the video, here it is:

I hope this inspires you to create.
