Something Saturday - Brightest Birthday Kit

Image
Hi there Creators Today we're checking out one of the new kits, I have to say WOW!, maybe it's the holographic blingy bits (ooooo bling....🤣)  if you're a regular reader of my blog or watch my YouTube or Facebook channels then you'll know I can't resist bling.  Anyway check out the kit here: Brightest Birthday Kit And here are the cards it makes.... oh and their matching (also blingy) envelopes. Then you'll notice on the first card with the balloons it has a box that has the holographic outline, which is actually a sticker, so in the video I show you how to get the sticker off and onto a separate piece of card without having to pick it off and re-piece it yourself. And this is the card I made with it:  I probably should have used the same Azure Afternoon colour, but I had this piece of Shy Shamrock hanging around my desk, so chose to use that instead, and seeing as the star stamp hadn't been used I figured I should put it into action.  Its not a bad littl...

Something Saturday - Bleach and More Wishes

 Hi there Creators

Today I was playing with the fabulous More Wishes Stamp set, one of my favourite saying's/word sets in the annual catalogue is Biggest Wish and I was excited to see More Wishes which uses the same fonts and lettering size so they coordinate together.

I was trying to work out a way to coordinate them in with a piece of designer paper from the gorgeous Joy of Christmas designer Paper, by drawing lines onto my stamp, but as it didn't work terribly well, my eye spied my bleach and voila:

More Wishes, Stampin' Up!, Bleach & stamps

I think it's a kind of fun way to create a different effect, all I've done is used a paint brush and bleach.  Stamp the saying first then add the bleach dotted around, I think the above card looks like someone's thrown snowballs at it!  To see what I've used click here: What Heather Used

Then I may have got a bit carried away, and couldn't resist creating way more with the gorgeous paper, and trying out what the bleach looked like with the different colours.

Then as I'd decided to use blue, I then had to find different designer paper for it, so, go the Winter Meadow designer Paper (so pretty!)

If you missed the video here it is:

I hope this inspires you to dig out the bleach and create.

God Bless love
