Something Saturday - Origami Envelopes

Image
Hi There Creators, Guess what? it's that time of the week again for Something Saturday!😃 This week I happened to be scrolling through Facebook and came across this origami envelope quick video, so I have deciphered the video (you know how they do it and it's so fast!) And I've worked out if you do it with 12x12" cardstock you get an envelope worthy of a card, and a 6x6" piece gives you a gift card sized envelope. Here they are: then I'll try and explain how to make them...... This first one is made using one of the 12x12" pieces of  Unbounded Beauty Designer Series Paper and this smaller one uses one of the 6x6" pieces of Full of Life Designer Series Paper Now, how to create these envelopes: take your square piece of designer cardstock, and fold in 1/2 diagonally Open it up and fold one side in to the middle: then fold as shown: open up the bottom flap and fold in the sides fold up the bottom tuck the point bit inside the envelope (you might want t...

Hand-made Birthday present

 Hi Creators,

I had to wait to share this with you till after I'd given it to my friend Jenny.  While Sam (my youngest son - 9 years old) and I were doing schooling over the last months, I bought some coloured clay which we made a few little bowls with, they're really cool!  I wanted to make a sort of swirly look with the clay which I think we achieved.

So when I was thinking about Jenny and her birthday I know how much she loves purple, and I thought I'd like to make her a purple bowl, I love that when I make something for someone, I get to think about that person while I'm making it and the great times we've spent together!

I was remembering some of the Stampin' Up! events that we've been to together, Jenny was the first person to join my team, and I've been so blessed to have her there with me through so many fabulous events!

Anyway I'm sure by now you're saying - get on with it Heather, let's see the photos!  So based on my ramblings, guess which one I made for Jenny?

Yep the purple one in the left bottom corner!  then I had some clay left over, but not enough to make another bowl, so I made some beads with it, which excitingly was enough to make a necklace with, yay gotta love that!  Then Yay I had an old Stampin' Up! box that fit the whole lot perfectly, decorate up the box, and voila.......

I'm hoping that she liked it as much as I enjoyed making it!  I specifically made one of the cards from the last post for her too, after I realised it was turning purple, so this uses the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper.

I hope this inspires you to create!

God Bless love
Heather xox
