June Class Cards

Hi there Creators Can't believe we're 1/2 way through the year!  June cards seem to focus on Designer Papers (it just happened that way 🤣)  however as I've been working out ways to show them off to their potential there are a couple of interesting folds we'll be doing,  Dates are Friday 6th June and Saturday 7th June.  Here goes....... Using the Beautiful Gallery Papers and a spot of pretty heat embossing then moving onto the Boho Vibes Designer Paper , and Round we Go Dies (continued from last year)  This next card uses the beautiful " Thoughtful Journey" Designer Series Paper, another carry over from last year, and I've pair it up with the Cheers & Sips Stamp set . Last but not least we have the Poppin' By Bundle used to create this cute card, also used the Textured Note Dies to create templates for masking the background. How to create longer punched shapes

Hi Creators!

I made a video the other day, which I managed to YouTube and Facebook, but didn't quite manage to get to the blog post too, so here we go!

I thought I'd share how to make your punched shapes longer (and shorter) than the punch itself, and if you're anything like me, sometimes it's easier to read and have photos than it is to watch the video, but I'll pop a link at the end for the video too!

Here goes.....
take the punch you want to elongate, and measure the widest part of the punch
Cut a strip of card to this size in this case it's 38mm.
thread it into the side of the punch and out of the middle of the punch and punch one end of it
Next stamp the image you want on it, see how this doesn't fit into the punch?
So then thread the punched end out of the middle of the punch, line it up and punch again
Voila.... Longer punched shape with the pretty edges :)
You can do this with a variety of punches, as shown below
to make the shape smaller do the same thing, but just don't pull the shape through the middle of the punch.  Easy Peasy!  let me know how you get on with it

Something Saturday - Twisted Star Ornament

 Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper  Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is:  I hope this inspires you to create one t...

 Hi there Creators, The Global Design Project #261 challenge this week is a colour challenge: (check out the link to see what others have done)   So I thought I'd join in again, and try out a card type I've seen someone else show off recently  I know it would have been on one of the Stampin' Up! facebook pages, I can't remember exactly what she used, but I liked the 3D'ness of it 😄 and I have no idea what the card is called possibly Diorama card would work?  anyway I set to work trying to work out how she'd done it (although I suspect if I could re-find hers she'd probably already done instructions lol)  I always seem to take the hard way..... So here is my "take" on it using these colours.  The inside is the impressive bit..... The outside not so impressive, but check out that gorgeous Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper !  I've teamed it up with the Ornate Layers Dies , and the super soft ribbon from the Basket Weave & Metall...
