Something Saturday - Hooray for Honeycomb Kit

Image
Hi there Creators, Today I thought we'd take a look at one of the new Kits that Stampin' Up! has brought out, it's really fun!, the name "honeycomb" kind of gives it away🤣 There are 9 cards to create, and it's a nice simple kit, would make an excellent gift for anyone who is thinking of starting off with card-making, there's no stamping involved - it's all "stick it together" and everything is included to do this.  At $32 it works out to $3.56 per card (which let's face it is pretty cheap for a card these days!) So here are the cards you can make (3 of each): Don't you just love the matching envelopes? The front of each card has clear embossed shiny bits on it (most obvious on the rainbow card at the top! with my photography) And there you have it, I haven't had the chance to play around and see what else I can create with this kit yet, so if you get it and do play around, let me know what you do! If you missed the video here it

Inspired by Craft Room cleanup

Hi all you lovely Creators!

Well it's Boxing Day so I figured I could spend a couple of hours cleaning up my craft room in preparation for the new catalogues coming in January.
Ha ha!, so I started to clean my desk space, and came across all these bits of pre-cut stuff, from extras I've had after teaching a class, or experiments I was playing with.  Which then of course I had 2 choices; do something with them or chuck them in my "I'll get to that later box/ give it to someone else to do something with box".  This time I figured why not do something with it........ (yeah you can see how the cleaning up the craft room is going lol)

However it has given me something to share with you, and they're all really simple projects from left over stuff, that let's face it most people have (especially if you've been crafting for some time)
I've grouped them into categories (made slightly more than I'd anticipated, and still there's stuff left over!)

Ok so first category, Christmas, cos otherwise it'll sit there for another year!
I had some pre-cut circles, snowflakes, and some roughly cut pieces of the ultra cute Santa's Workshop Designer Series Paper, which sadly is sold out, but amazingly the Signs of Santa stamp set and dies are still available, if you want them make sure you order asap! I really liked the Merry Christmas from Mistletoe Season Stamp set to go with these quirky images

Then on to some pre-cut Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper, and Calypso Coral cardstock that I'd used in a class at some point....

And then a Birthday selection, this one combines some of the new goodies coming out on the 3rd January and some panels of Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper - just so you know, the reason this is "Specialty" paper is because it has an amazing pearly sheen to each sheet (on each side)  there's still some left, so again, if you want some get in quick, last day to order it will be 2nd Jan!

Moving on you might be relieved to know these are the last ones I created earlier😊. One more panel of the Frosted Floral DSP, as well as a long thin panel of Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper (this one is special because of the Copper foiling - which you can't see on this sheet lol) and incredibly there's still some of this DSP left too, so if you want some get it quick!
the second card in the above picture uses one of the new hostess stamp sets, which i can't link to yet as it's not available till 3rd Jan, however it's called "Just Because", I'd already pre-stamped/coloured and cut it out, and had the piece of Calypso Coral already cut, and also the Copper foil scallop circle, so added a couple of leaves from the Christmas stamp set - Mistletoe Season, I think they go quite nicely with it!

I hope this inspires you to dig out your scraps and do something with them!
Happy Stampin'
God Bless love
Heather xox
