Something Saturday - Click Clack Concertina Card

Image
Hi there Creators Well I was sitting last night wondering what to do for my Something Saturday, and playing around with a bit of paper, ended up designing this card, I've made similar cards before like the cascade cards, this is probably a bit more basic, but I'm happy with it and it's way simpler to create, but still packs a cool Woah factor🤣  I've used Sentimental Christmas Designer Series Paper which is on the last chance list. I decided it needed a sentiment so picked out this one from Sweetest Star Stamp set (last chance list again), because it has 6 words (1 for each panel!😃) and these Adhesive backed Snowflake Assortment are also on the last chance list and happen to be reduced to 1/2 price (woo hoo!) Ok, onto measurements.... You'll need a sheet of A4 for the base card, score it at 9.9cm either end, then cut in 1/2 at 10.5cm, fold so each piece is concertina'd into 1/3rd's then each folded piece needs a cut that goes 1/2 way up the card (in the...

Hold onto Hope

Hi There

Well I ordered this Hold onto Hope bundle in order to use it at the fundraiser I did on Saturday, but guess what?  it arrived 2 days later, ha ha!  oh well......  at least it wasn't an integral part of the fundraiser cards!

So today I had the chance to play with the stamps and dies, and oh my goodness I wish I'd got them earlier lol, always the way!  I've made up 3 cards to show you them, I've used all of the dies except the large straightforward cross, and I haven't used the saying "Celebrating one of God's most Remarkable Creations"  "You".  But I'm pretty sure I will use it at some point!  I'd love to hear what you think of the set (and my cards)

Here is the first card I made up, this was the die I originally fell in love with, such a pretty filigree cross! I've used one of the Sale-a-Bration stamps in the background - "Amazing You", and lightly daubed round the edge of the card with Crushed Curry.  Bear in mind that Amazing You is only available for a few more days till the end of March, place a qualifying order of $90 and you can choose to have that Stamp set for free!
Next card I made was this one:
I love the way the flowers cut out with the dies, and have holes that you can thread the cross through!
I took a closer photo for you, and the cross was cut and embossed to get the raised bits on it.  The stamps coloured in with the Brights Stampin' Write Markers to get the different colours (always enjoyed this technique)

 then lastly is this card:
a little plainer (which of course is the one my husband liked the most) I was thinking obviously of Easter! The saying "Hold onto Hope" made me think of the 2 criminals that were crucified next to Jesus, as they were hanging there they had no hope, and yet one of them refused to ridicule Jesus, and asked Jesus to remember him, Jesus then gave him hope (you can read it in Luke chapter 23 Verses 32 to 43).  And I know that even through my imperfections, and the stresses of life Jesus is my hope that I can hold fast to.

I hope this post inspires you to create, and to dig in and find out more about our Creator!

God Bless love
