February 2025 Class Cards

  Hi there Creators My goodness over 1/2 way through January!, so I figured seeing as I've made them I'd best share my class cards for Feb.  Classes are Friday 7th at 1pm in my classroom Laanecoorie and Saturday 8th at 10.30am at Wattle City Church Argyle Road, Maryborough.  Class cost is $24 for 4 cards I thought we'd better make the most of the Sale-a-Bration goodies, so this is Heart Shaped Bundle (stamps & dies) that you can get for free with an order of $200, it is a pretty bundle!  I've teamed it up with the new Antique Pearls this next one uses the rather cool Linked Together Decorative Masks and also the saying from With You in Mind (I rather like nice large sayings for cards and this one has a few! Bookcase Builder Sneak Peek

Hi Everyone,
well I snuck into my craft room today, to play briefly with a new stamp set - Bookcase builder, it's in the new upcoming Occasions Catalogue.
I'll show you the cards I created:
  


This was actually the second card I made, as it's name suggests it is designed to build bookcases!, and it wasn't this that I fell in love with, it was initially this saying, "I didn't know we were making Memories,  just thought we were having fun"  and even though at the moment I'm not huge on Project Life and scrapbooking, I could see myself using this saying in it (when I do get round to it)
The funniest thing is what I thought was a topiary tree in a pot, oops turns out it wasn't meant to be that, it's actually a lamp LOL (ah well..... also works as a little trimmed tree)
Then this was the first card I made, I love the full Congratulations, as so often it gets shortened to Congrats, and the other thing in this stamp set that made me buy it was the cute banners, they come as 2 separate stamps, where you stamp one, then the next one can be done in a different colour and it fits exactly, this saying is beautiful too: " Today's little moments, become tomorrows precious memories"  which I thought was quite suitable for a baby card.

    Love your cards Heather - I love this set and am surprised there aren't many examples of it yet - maybe its a slow burner.

  Hi there Creators,  Today I'm joining a Crafty Collaborations hop, this is a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all round the world, cool eh?   This particular blog hop is What's New? and open to our own interpretation. Sitting out in my craft room I spied the True Love Designer Series Paper that arrived a few days ago, and decided on a spot of colouring in therapy, and the cards started from there..... This Designer Series Paper is black and white, and has some great images to cut out (if you don't mind a bit of fussy cutting) The first card I made with the paper was this one, I've cut the flowers out from one of the sheets of Designer Series Paper, and used Stampin' Blends to colour them in. With this first card I've also used one of the Gold Hoop embellishments which I haven't used before too, I have to say the metal ring is really quite sturdy you can see the Gold Hoop a little more clearly with this photo, I've used a bit of the Gorgeou...

Something Saturday - Twisted Star Ornament

 Hi there Creators I saw this cool star ornament in another video, and had a bit of a play around with it, ending up with this.... (with a retired Designer Series Paper) Then I ended up making this one (somewhat puffier 🤣) in the video with the current Natures Sweetness Specialty Designer Series Paper  Ok, to make this you'll need 16 strips of 15cm x 1cm Designer Paper & glue (I used tombow) Use 8 of the pieces for each side of the star, you twist them like a Breast Cancer ribbon, but with a small "head section" and have a gap of around 4cm at the free end, and around 4cm of the 2 free arms (if that makes sense, it should if you've seen the video!) you then glue 8 of the "heads" together to make the middle of the star then the tails glue together to form the points. once you've made up 2 of these, you then glue them back to back, adding a piece of twine into the last point If you missed the video here it is:  I hope this inspires you to create one t...
