Something Saturday - Show & Tell July 24 Online products

Image
Hi there Creators Today I have a new parcel of goodies to share with you, these products are now available online, I've added the links to each so you can check them out.   First up I showed the stunning Sunflower 3D Embossing folder (it's a large one being A5 sized) I think I'll be showing off a couple of ways to use it next week (stay tuned!) Then I moved onto the " Not 29 anymore" stamp set, which I absolutely love, it's definitely a keeper well after it retires! Next up is Label Me Grateful Bundle ( Stamps & Dies) I do like that the dies can be used on their own if you're not keen on the stamp set (personally I liked both) Next up is a Suite, the Floral Charm Suite Collection Oh so pretty!  I've given you the link to the whole collection but when you check it out, there is a drop down box to pick out individual items if you don't want the whole kit & caboodle! And last but not least although it's not totally new, it is to me😃 Th...

Something Saturday - Watercolour Pencils on Black

Image
Hi there Creators Today I'm showing off how you can make the watercolour pencils really pop on a black background. when you use them this way you don't add water or anything else, just simply use them as pencils. This is the first card I made before the video: I've used the Celebratory Sips Suite (see links below) for both of these cards Then I made this one up in the video, and finished it off after, by adding some greenery around the bottom, the sayings and I wanted to create a graduated background paper to kind of give a sunset appearance, so to to that I've brushed darker colours onto the Pumpkin Pie cardstock to deepen it nearer the bottom. Here is a list of the products I used: Celebratory Sips Collection (I recommend getting the whole lot 'cos it's worth it!) but if you don't want it all, then, then in fact the only part I used here is: Cheers & Sips Stamp set Watercolour Pencils Assortment 1 Watercolour Pencils Assortment 2 If you missed the vid...

Something Saturday - Bleach or White?

Image
Hi There Creators Before I forget, there is an AMAZING special on this month, not only are the new catalogue (and new Online Products) live, but there is a joining special, pick out $303 of goodies but only pay $169!!  Ask me if you're interested and want to know more, or if you know you want to take the plunge, click here: Join Heather's Team. Today I thought I'd play around with a spot of bleach stamping, then decided to throw white into the mix too, it's interesting what a difference it makes, I like both!  Bleach is fascinating when it reacts with different cardstocks (interestingly didn't work on our black cardstock at all!)  I used Pecan Pie card . To create these cards I also needed:  Stazon Black Ink Pad     white Craft Ink   You are Remarkable Stamp set    And bleach (in my case domestos 🤣)  Oh and a pointy paintbrush First up you stamp using Stazon (because it stays on! - in particular with bleach and waterbased compone...

Something Saturday - Peekaboo Diagonal Cut Card

Image
Hi there Creators As I mention in the video I was having a bit of a nostalgic wander through my old catalogue (that retired on 6th May) and came across a page that had a couple of fun fold cards.  So here we are today, trying one of them out.....  Theirs is landscape, mine is portrait but the measurements would be pretty similar just having the fold of the card in a different place. Here is mine: as you can see it's kind of a card in a card.  I've used the Celebratory Sips Suite ,  although I confess I haven't used the stamps & dies in this particular card!  The suite has Stamps, dies, 2 embossing folders, bling, ribbon, and Designer paper, all for $138.25 which I think is pretty good! (and just think with the new rewards system, you'll then have $13.80 to spend on your next order - make sure you've opted in!) If you watched the video you'll know that I accidentally added glue to the wrong side of my designer paper, so I ended up making this card with ...

Hi there Creators Today I thought I'd show off the Suitcase Treat Boxes , I think they'd be perfect to gift jewelry in for Christmas or birthdays. This time I decided to decorate it with the  Marbled Elegance Designer Series Paper , as I figured if I'm giving jewelry then it's likely to be for a girl, and this is very pink!🤣  Also essentials when doing this sort of thing are  Tombow Adhesive , as it gives you just a little bit of wiggle room when sticking down the elements, the  Take your pick tool , so useful for any projects but owing to needing to cut a small section out for the handle to poke through you can screw off the sticky end and and add in ..... Take your pick crafter tips 3 different tips one of which happens to be a blade.  lastly I finished it off with the  Pretty in Pink Bordered Ribbon  (which is definitely still current having checked it!) So as you can see I ended up making a card to match with some of the off cuts that were...

Something Saturday - Impossible Card

Image
Hi there Creators I figured I'd try my hand at an "impossible" card today (not to be confused with the never ending card🤣) But, just quickly don't forget to check out the retiring bargains in my Stampin' Up! shop (there's some great reductions!😉) I think it's called "impossible" due to the fact it is made from one piece of A6 cardstock I used the gorgeous Botanical Textures Designer Series Paper and the Beautiful Butterflies Bundle (Stamps, dies, embossing folder)  I figured they actually went quite nicely together. The card I made up and showed in the video is this one: I wanted a pop of colour hence the butterflies ended up in Berry Burst with some of the lovely Basic Gray & Smoky Slate Pearls on them then as I ended up cutting 2 sets of designer Paper I also made up this card , and coloured in the paper using Stampin' Blends (alcohol markers) so I could get graduation of colours. I reckon you could probably make this card any siz...

Class cards for May

Image
Hi there Creators Coming soon to a classroom near you.......🤣 Well, specifically Laanecoorie on 2nd May 1pm, then on 10th May 10.30am in Maryborough.  (the links for new goodies won't work till after the catalogue goes live on 7th May) First up using the new Turtle Textures Embossing folder then continuing on with new goodies, and the Cheers & Sips Bundle and the Celebratory Sips Designer Series paper , the Glass & Gardens Embossing folders & the Holographic Resin Dots  Although to be honest I recommend getting the entire Celebratory Sips Suite as the only thing missing from my round up is the ribbon! but wait the ribbon got used on this card.... Gold Striped Mesh ribbon (see told you, you need the suite!)🤣 this card uses the Spring Corners Bundle . And last but not least using the new Beautiful Gallery Designer Series Paper, and a spot of heat embossing If you can make it to either of the classes, do let me know, if you can't I hope these inspire you t...

Something Saturday - Thankyou Kindly Kit

Image
Hi there Creators having reviewed the video I notice the white cards of this kit really didn't show up well (I'm so sorry!) On a positive note I did have a play around with the rest of kit and came up with some ideas, so check them out below...... If you do want to purchase the kit check it out here: Thankyou Kindly Kit . Here are the cards as they're meant to be made: They're much nicer in person than the photos make them out to be!  anyway I thought I'd try something different with them and this is what I came up with... I used the leaves as a mask to create the soft background, by which time the leaves were green, so I added more (Old Olive) to the stems, and a bit of Blueberry Bushel to the circle edges, and voila, you can actually see the texture in the paper of the circles (same as the envelopes and white rectangle in the other card.  I think it looks quite fresh in these colours. Then the other card I chose to use some of the lovely subtles colours: Soft Sea...
