Something Saturday - Inchie equivalent card for those with an A4 Brain!

Image
Hi there Creators, Well today I thought I'd have a go at an "inchie" card, only mine (unsurprisingly for me) aren't inchies! The idea behind it is that you have inch squares, which get attached to a background paper (which has been scored up before hand so you have lines to attach your inchies to, and embossed with an embossing folder, which then deletes the score lines. However, as you have to cut your base card down to create an inchie card, I decided to do things "my way" hence "equivalent for an A4 brain" Here are the 2 Inchie cards I received the first one from Simone my up-line as a swap at the Stampin' Up!event. She's used the beautiful vibrant Flowering Zinnias designer series paper and the second from Lee-Allan one of my down-line (which uses some paper that now I need to buy 🤣) check it out for yourself:  Natures Sweetness Designer Series Paper then I got onto creating one - my size using retired Designer Papers (you can never

Something Saturday - A Useful Gift

Hi There Creators, Today I needed a new notebook for my sermon notes, so I thought what better than to show you how I decorate up notebooks as presies for others, (and myself)  I buy mine from Kmart, but I don't think it would matter where you buy them. And on to the photos:  My notebook started off without the extra elastic, and at the end of my video I added an extra section to show how I add the elastic to it to keep it closed when not in use. But basically you just punch two small holes in the backboard of your notebook (top & bottom) thread through the elastic and tie it tight enough that it will loop round the front and not be baggy.  I've also given my Designer Paper 2 mats one in Copper clay and the other as Pretty Peacock.  It really is a case of measure your notebook and decide on your own sizes!  the last thing I did was add a length of ribbon tied to the top of the spiral binding (make sure you only tie it to one piece of wire (not the double loop) as otherwise

Something Saturday - Designer Paper Boxes

Image
Hi There Creators well today we're doing a spot of folding - Go the Origami boxes!  I used to make an origami box like this (with origami, it doesn't require glue) I wondered how I could make it so it displayed both sides of the Designer Paper, and now I've worked it out (kind of by accident!, and mine requires glue!) 🤣 Currently until the end of June there is a Designer Paper sale on - woo hoo hopefully you'll find the papers here:  Patterned Papers   The one I'm using today is called Stargazing it's quite gorgeous (as are most of the Stampin' Up! Papers)! Anyway here are the photos then I'll attempt to explain how to make them, ummmm! Ok here goes, you will need a square of Designer Paper (that is patterned on both sides) Fold the square in 1/2 so you have a rectangle, then open and fold in 1/2 the other way and open it up again (you'll now have a + in the square) now fold the corners in to the centre Then turn the whole thing over and fold the s

July Mega Class

Image
Hi there Creators,  I usually do a Mega Class in January and July (normally I try and do Christmas in July) however this year as the Annual Catalogue has only just come out we don't have much of a Christmas offering, so I'm going with Kids and Big Kids (let's face it we all need Big Kids cards! - especially if you have any guys in your life - husband/kids/nephews......)  I know my husband is just a big kid 🤣  Might have to try and do Christmas later after my trip to UK. A sneak peek of the cards will be happening in my videos throughout June, however here is a conglomerate photo to whet your appetite: This time rather than receiving a Stamp set I thought we go with something different but useful......Stampin' Write Markers, very handy as you can colour your stamps with these and stamp, or use them to colour in images (and in fact other things you can do with them eg create an interesting background by colouring on a clear block and stamping it)   You'll also re
