Something Saturday - Inchie equivalent card for those with an A4 Brain!

Image
Hi there Creators, Well today I thought I'd have a go at an "inchie" card, only mine (unsurprisingly for me) aren't inchies! The idea behind it is that you have inch squares, which get attached to a background paper (which has been scored up before hand so you have lines to attach your inchies to, and embossed with an embossing folder, which then deletes the score lines. However, as you have to cut your base card down to create an inchie card, I decided to do things "my way" hence "equivalent for an A4 brain" Here are the 2 Inchie cards I received the first one from Simone my up-line as a swap at the Stampin' Up!event. She's used the beautiful vibrant Flowering Zinnias designer series paper and the second from Lee-Allan one of my down-line (which uses some paper that now I need to buy 🤣) check it out for yourself:  Natures Sweetness Designer Series Paper then I got onto creating one - my size using retired Designer Papers (you can never

Do let me know if you're keen to be part of t

In the class you will receive a whole pack of the Designer Series Paper and a Tombow Adhesive to use in the class and to take home for more use.  And as an added extra, I will have a few extra bits ready for you to create some cards at home with the left over cut off pieces of Designer Series Paper and some extra instructions to create these cards: With these cards I've used my fa

Cards for October

Image
Hi there! well we're in the thick of school holidays now, but I have finally found a few minutes to let you know the cards we'll be creating in my classes in October. I'll just go with the order I made them in, so first up is this beautiful bouquet from "wishing you well" stamp set, I've loved the bouquet and bow since I set eyes on them in the holiday catalogue, they are what Stampin' Up! calls Distinktive stamps, which means that they create different opacities in a single stamped image, it's really amazing  doesn't it create such a beautiful subtle image?  I've also used the Swirly Frames stamp set with this card too. Card #2 I had to use this Buffalo Check stamp , oh my goodness it's fabulous! I've teamed it up with the His Light stamp set , I do love the font in this set! then added a couple of the gorgeous Red Rhinestone basic jewels . Moving onto Card #3 this was again one of those I couldn't resist stamp sets lo

Santa's Workshop Memories & More Card Pack

Image
Hi There, I did a recent video to show all the cards and bits that you receive with the Santa's Workshop Memories & More Card pack  and the Cards & Envelopes as I couldn't find one that showed them all, (and I like to know these things, so I'm guessing others do too!)  I know I've shown some of the cards before under the "More Sneak Peeks" but now the catalogue is live I can show you the page it's on too (yay!) And although I've said it before I'll say it again lol  these would make fabulous cards for your kids to give to their friends at school, so quick & easy to make up a heap, and a bit more special than the regular shop bought ones, and really inexpensive!   Funnily enough I also discovered that you can buy the cards & envelopes, the Memories & More kit plus Santa's bags, Enamel Shapes, Bakers Twine and Dimensionals all in a pack together! (how cool?!) check it out by clicking on this link: Santa's workshop S

Tag Card for September

Image
Hi There! Thought I'd reveal the card that you will get the components to make when you place an order with me this month (and just explain briefly how to put it together!) Here is the card: (colours look much better in real life, despite several attempts at photographing it!) Notice the re-occurrence of the Botanical Tags Framelits? did I mention how much I love these dies lol! I've also used the Perennial Birthday stamp set for the wording. The tag itself is this bit, I'm showing here how to add the green colour behind the leaves, just trim the green till it fits, and stick it down! Add the tag ribbon to the back of the Highland Heather piece of card, I've added 2 lines of Snail Adhesive down the back of the sheet then laid out the ribbon on it, to attach it down, I've then gone with dimensionals to add this to my card, and attached the tag on top. Doesn't it look good with the green under the leaves? and that Berry Burst Metall

Shop for Freedom 13th September

Image
Hi there! Coming up this Thursday evening from 7pm at Enjoy Church (10 Phillips Drive, Kangaroo Flat) is the Shop for Freedom night, ($5 entry) it's a great fun evening where you can purchase good quality "op shop" type items, be pampered, enjoy food and friendship, and also make some cards!! (that's where I come into it, in case you hadn't guessed!!) The funds raised from the evening go directly to Collective 61 - an Enjoy Church initiative partnering with Organisations in Cambodia who fight against human trafficking. Anyway as I mentioned I'm going to be doing a little stand where for a gold coin donation you can make a card, I thought I'd show you the cards I have planned, I was going to stick to one card, but of course sticking to one thing isn't really my style - lol So card #1 uses the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, also the Balloon Bouquet Punch and the Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper, with

Botanical Tag Thinlits

Image
Hi There, One of my "must have" items from the annual catalogue I now have!  funny isn't it how you keep putting off and putting off getting something then finally bite the bullet and go for it! I'm certainly not regretting this buy! If you're a regular reader of my blog, you'll have seen an appearance of these dies back on the 31st August in my Interactive class for September blog However after that I had a bit more of a play with some of the bits I didn't use much the first time round, and I'm hooked! lol Let me show you. Da, Da...... The Botanical Tag Thinlit Dies ........  how pretty is this rose?, I've teamed it up with Floral Phrases stamp set, and I think it works well :) I've also used the die cut piece to form a mask that I used on the background piece. Next up I wanted to use the birds again, and I hadn't used the branch leaves in the other work I did.... again teamed up with the same stamp set Floral Phrases, j
