Something Saturday - Inchie equivalent card for those with an A4 Brain!

Image
Hi there Creators, Well today I thought I'd have a go at an "inchie" card, only mine (unsurprisingly for me) aren't inchies! The idea behind it is that you have inch squares, which get attached to a background paper (which has been scored up before hand so you have lines to attach your inchies to, and embossed with an embossing folder, which then deletes the score lines. However, as you have to cut your base card down to create an inchie card, I decided to do things "my way" hence "equivalent for an A4 brain" Here are the 2 Inchie cards I received the first one from Simone my up-line as a swap at the Stampin' Up!event. She's used the beautiful vibrant Flowering Zinnias designer series paper and the second from Lee-Allan one of my down-line (which uses some paper that now I need to buy 🤣) check it out for yourself:  Natures Sweetness Designer Series Paper then I got onto creating one - my size using retired Designer Papers (you can never

And now for something different!

Hi There, I saw a couple of videos done by Jennifer McGuire, where she's used dies to create borders on her cards, partial cutting using the bigshot, so I was inspired to give it a go.....  thought I'd share with you! This was my initial go, have to admit it was a little tricky to cut out the excess bits, I've used the beautiful dies from Flourish thinlits , which considering you get 10 beautiful dies is remarkably good value at $49! then I tried out the flowers in the same Flourish thinlits, and made it into a card; Couldn't resist adding the Glitter Enamel Dots in the centre of the flowers (they're so pretty!) then moving on...... (I had some Old Olive cardstock cut to the right size, hence all the green lol) I've gone back to the big die in the set to create the top border, and the scalloped line at the top was the pink cut out on the previous card (good to use up the proverbial scraps)  considered the fact that I've not used the pink's

Colour INKspiration Challenge #26

Image
Hi there, I decided to join in with the Colour Inkspiration challenge for this fortnight, as I love these colours they remind me of a peacock :) So, this is the challenge, to use the below colours: And here is my creation for the challenge: I have used all the colours in the cardstock I have in the card, but the background is made from the Iridescent Glimmer paper in the Myths and Magic Glimmer Paper pack , then I've spritzed it with water, and sprinkled over the new Brusho Crystal Colour , and added more spritzed water. Then allowed it to dry (eventually got fed up with the waiting, blotted it and dried it with the first setting on my heat tool lol)  I just LOVE the background effects you can get with the Brusho!  For this particular one, I used the Moss Green, Prussian Blue and Yellow.  The Word and flower are cut out using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlit dies . Hopefully it works for the challenge! what do you think? I hope this inspires you to create. God Bless l
