Something Saturday - Cascading Pleated Fold Card

Image
Hi There Creators, I promised when I was showing off my swap cards from OnStage that I'd work out how to create a couple of cards I received. So, here we go, I have discovered they're called Cascading Pleated Fold Cards! (good start) Here are my 2 cards I made using this technique, I figured I could have a go at both landscape and portrait cards. 😍 The first one is made using the absolutely gorgeous Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper . It took a bit of cutting to get it right as I wanted each scene in front to echo the scene behind, but I think I got it! Then the card I made up in the video ended up like this, I've used the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (which is happily continuing onto the next catalogue!), and the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle (again continuing on)   Although Sam (Mr 13 year old) did ask what flavour ice-cream is that meant to be?  I said Chocolate & Boysenberry (Hummm, Ok Mum....) 🤣 Anyway on to the measurements.... I worked out that

3D train

Hi there,
well with Bendigo Craft Alive looming on the horizon this weekend (by the way - watch Weekend Sunrise as they will be broadcasting from the show!! let me know if you see us on it!)

Anyway, as I was saying with Craft Alive coming up, I was turning my mind to doing some 3D type items, I'd seen someone else had made a train using the Wood Crate Framelit dies, she'd used the really cute Animal Outing to put the kangaroo, giraffe, and Rhino in the carriages.  However I seem to be distinctly lacking in animal stamps :(  but then I remembered......

Yes! the Cookie Cutter Christmas has a reindeer in it! Cut the reindeer and Santa out with the matching Cookie Cutter Builder Punch (yay for punches!)  I was so pleased with the way this turned out, even Tom (the hubbie) was impressed! (he's insistent that I tell you the "smoke" was his idea lol) although I was the one that had to make it happen!
I hope that people will like this at the show.  Do leave me a comment to let me know what you think!
I hope it inspires you to create some 3D items at home too

God Bless love
