Something Saturday - DSP & Blends

Image
Hi There Creators Today I thought I'd show off an idea that Claire our Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Development Manager showed us in a workshop the other day, I took it a bit further in one of my cards, let me know which card is your favourite! If you'd like to see all the goodies I used on these cards click here:  DSP & Blends Turtles Cards Here are the cards I ended up creating The first 2 I've just used the blends to go round each of the images on the designer paper, I really love the way the images get highlighted from it, almost a "stained glass effect" This first card I also used the blend on the white card base under the Designer Paper to give a border This second card I used the Blend around the edge of the Designer paper to draw a line  (I did use a ruler to do this!) again to create a border. Then this last one I've gone round the edges again with the darker Pool Party blend, but then blended in the lighter one in all the gaps. I actually did g...

Craft Alive Wodonga Friday & Saturday presentation

Hi Creators,
Here I am at Craft Alive Wodonga Friday I did a live video showing how to use the Stampin Write Markers to colour in the gorgeous Wonderful World stamps  (you can get the stamps and matching papers for free when you purchase $180 of goodies)
Here are the cards I presented, I love that using the pens allows you to colour one stamp in multiple colours - aren’t these stamps stunning?
Wonderful World, Stampin' Up!

To cut the A4 card to the right sizes: the white layer is 7x9.9cm (cut your A4 card into 3 even sections each way). The coloured card is 10.5x 7.4cm (to get this cut the A4 card in 1/2 to A5 then 1/2 again to A6 and 1/2 again)

Saturday I showed how to decorate one of the Craft Gift Boxes using the Wonderful World papers, and I put together this gorgeous box to house the cards plus a couple more cards made using the “left over” bits from the box:  I’ve used the Kraft Gift boxes which the C6 envelopes and matching A6 cards fit into beautifully 😀
Wonderful World, Stampin' Up!

During the video I said I'd give the measurements for the layers on the box, so the base plain colour for the two large sides (top & bottom) are 16cm x11cm and the designer paper that sits on top is 6"x4".  On one of these you'll need to cut the hole for the top - I used the Fabulous Frames Dies.  Line up the base card with the designer paper on top, place the die in the middle, and run through your cutting machine (in my case the Stampin' Cut & Emboss machine)

Then for the two (or three) long thin sides you'll need base plain colour 16cm x 1.8cm and designer paper measuring 6" x 1/2".

And here are the 2 cards made with the bits I cut out from the middle - gotta love the Fabulous Frames dies!

And the whole lot together - I might make a couple more cards then I reckon it would make a lovely gift 💝

This is the sheet I made up with all the items I used for my presentation  however you can check out this link instead:  What Heather Used which should take you to my website and show you all the goodies (except apparently the Wonderful World stamps & Papers that wouldn’t attach - you can pick them out as your freebies at the end)

I hope this inspires you to create

God Bless love
Heather
