Class Cards for September Class

Image
Hi there Creators, Well we're 1/2 way through the month already, and Wow I now have 2 separate card Classes sorted for September!  the first is our regular class, which is what this post is about, the other is the special Gingerbread Man & Sophisticated Alternative Cracker class (click the link to see, should open in a new window). Anyway back to our regular class for September, which will be on Friday 5th; 1pm in my classroom and Saturday 7th; 10.30am Maryborough Class cost $25 for the 4 cards. As we'll be 4 months out from Christmas, we'll be making one Christmas card at this class (2 in Oct, 3 in Nov, 4 in Dec) 😃  gotta work your way up to it! So, by popular demand I've created this little guy with the sliding "behind".   To see all the "ingredients" click here: Sausage Dog Slider Next up using new goodies is this elegant sympathy card, although it could easily be changed to other sentiments using the same Unbounded Love stamp set, the new P...

Embossing folders 3D & Standard

Image
Hi There Creators,  I had a request to do an Embossing folders video, so that's what this weeks video is all about.  They can be a little confusing as they come in small, medium and large, Standard and 3D.  And how do you know how to get them through your machine so they actually work? Stampin' Up! has 2 Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machines, the mini and the standard.  The Standard one is a similar size to the Bigshot (I find it has a tad more room for the plate, the Bigshot used to shave bits off my plates if I didn't have them lined up exactly, I haven't noticed that with the Cut & Emboss machine) Anyway, as you'll see from this picture our embossing folders come in a thin (small) size, which would emboss around 2/3 of your card front, a Medium size, which completely embosses your A6 card front and also a "large" which is 6" x6" sized (handy if you want the pattern on an angle!)   An important tip is to make sure the fold of the embossin...

Global Design Project #GDP260

Image
Hi there Creators, well I've been getting the emails from the GDP team, and I keep intending to join in again, so I figured it's at a zero number (260) I should re-start! Plus a new stamp set Gnome for the Holidays arrived that I've been waiting for! Here is the inspiration from GDP, the idea is to "CASE"= Copy and selectively edit So although my card looks nothing like Su's card, I noticed that she has used 2 embossing folders in the background, the middle one creating a sort of gap. So here is my entry, whilst I didn't use 2 embossing folders I did use one twice lol!  and my aim was to create the gap in between, with the rectangular middle piece and the saying I wanted the leaves from the Meadow Moments Embossing folder , to show through a bit, so that the rectangle wasn't so "harsh" on the card and covering over so much of the pretty border, therefore I chose to use vellum to stamp on.  I used Stazon Black to stamp, then coloured in with ...
