Something Saturday - Triple Ripped Card

Image
Hi there Creators I saw a quick link thingo of a card on Facebook, and sort of noted what she did - which was really cool, so set about having a go and I have no idea if it's the same as I can't remember what it was called or who had done it, but it worked out well anyway, and now I get to share it with you🤣 So here we are...... You might recognise this one as it's one in my "card conglomerate" of Mega Class cards for 19th July (if you're keen to come to the Mega class or get it as a mail order class, you've got till 2nd July to book your spot) check out the blog post on the class here: July Mega Class Then in the video I made up the "bones" of this card, which I've then stamped up using the Inspiring Imperfections bundle (great stamp set & dies) For the base I've used the Misty Moonlight two-tone cardstock, it's kind of cool as it has the same colour on both sides, just one light and one darker.  I've cut this to 9" x ...

Something Saturday - Reverse Stamping

Image
Hi there Creators I thought I'd do a spot of reverse stamping this week, there's a really lovely stamp set: Elegantly Said, that has this cute little die that looks like 1/2 a butterfly, so if you know how to reverse stamp you can create the butterfly quite easily.  In the video I show creating the pink butterflies, I've then added the Pool Party Butterflies and the large flourish in the corners is also reverse stamped for the upper corner.  check out what I used here:  What Heather used This next card uses the Boughs & Blossoms stamp set, the leaves only go in one direction and as it's not a photopolymer set I can't bend them in the other direction, so reverse stamping allows me to get them to wave their way across the page (they'd make a pretty good wreath I reckon if you kept stamping them round!)  check out what I used for this card here: What Heather Used  Anyway, nitty gritty, how do you do this?  Easy peasy, stamp your main image 1/2 stren...

Something Saturday - Colouring in your stamps a different way

Image
Hi there Creators,  Today I'm showing you how to use daubers to colour in your block image stamps, you can get the prettiest combinations of colour onto one stamp this way. I've used the Boughs & Blossoms Bundle (157712, $59.25)   (from the new Mini Catalogue) made up of the Bough Punch (157711, $31) and the Boughs & Blossoms Stamp set ($35, 157703)  I'd already decided I had to have the punch, and as it turns out we're using it in the Mega class on 29th January.  But when I see bundles I usually have to get both sections of it!  However the punch doesn't actually cut any of the stamped images out. Anyway on to photos..... this is the first card I had made up already to show, I've used my Brights colours on this, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade for the flowers, then Granny Apple Green and Garden Green for the leaves (admittedly Garden Green isn't in the Brights colour range but it goes well!)     Then in the video I made u...
