Something Saturday - DSP & Blends

Image
Hi There Creators Today I thought I'd show off an idea that Claire our Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Development Manager showed us in a workshop the other day, I took it a bit further in one of my cards, let me know which card is your favourite! If you'd like to see all the goodies I used on these cards click here:  DSP & Blends Turtles Cards Here are the cards I ended up creating The first 2 I've just used the blends to go round each of the images on the designer paper, I really love the way the images get highlighted from it, almost a "stained glass effect" This first card I also used the blend on the white card base under the Designer Paper to give a border This second card I used the Blend around the edge of the Designer paper to draw a line  (I did use a ruler to do this!) again to create a border. Then this last one I've gone round the edges again with the darker Pool Party blend, but then blended in the lighter one in all the gaps. I actually did g...

Cards for November Classes

Image
Hi There Creators Well we're getting closer to November so thought I'd better share the cards we'll be creating at classes on Tues 5th 1.30pm in Laanecoorie, Thursday 7th 7pm Laanecoorie and Saturday 9th 10.30am Maryborough😃 In the class you'll create all 4 cards for $24 (and have a fabulous social time!) So, here goes, as it's November we're up to 3 Christmas Cards. This is the only Non-Christmassy one, Oh my goodness how gorgeous is this paper?! This is the Regal Winter Designer Series Paper , which goes so beautifully with this Blackberry Bliss & Gold Ribbon , and the Spotlight on Nature Dies , which are possibly the most useful dies I have Now we're onto a clear run of Christmas Cards.  I love this look, where it looks like you're looking up in the middle of a forest, I've used a stamp from the fabulous Christmas Wishes Kit, for the saying and the trees are from Peaceful Evergreens . Next up is this rather cute tree from the Decorative Tre...

Something Saturday - Amazing Trifold Card

Hi There Creators I saw this really cool card on a Facebook reel, it was done so quickly, that when I came to try it it took me an awful lot of rewinds to get it right 🤣  So I figured I could do it a little slower to show you all how to make it too.  Here are the photos of the cards I created: The first card I used the Wildly Flowering Designer Series Paper , so pretty! Then the card I made in the video uses Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper with Pebbled Path Cardstock, I think it looks really elegant!  I ended up making it into a sympathy card, as my Step Dad passed away, so I needed a lovely card to send to my Mum (hope she likes it!)  I love the way the bird freeze goes through the panels of the card. And now for the measurements..... the way I made it in my video: (this is the metric version I worked out) You will need a base card (A5) scored in 1/2 at 10.5cm, then trim 5cm off one side (so you only have a 1/2 flap at the front) Next you need the "mec...
