Something Saturday - Cascading Pleated Fold Card

 Hi There Creators, I promised when I was showing off my swap cards from OnStage that I'd work out how to create a couple of cards I received. So, here we go, I have discovered they're called Cascading Pleated Fold Cards! (good start) Here are my 2 cards I made using this technique, I figured I could have a go at both landscape and portrait cards. 😍 The first one is made using the absolutely gorgeous Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper . It took a bit of cutting to get it right as I wanted each scene in front to echo the scene behind, but I think I got it! Then the card I made up in the video ended up like this, I've used the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (which is happily continuing onto the next catalogue!), and the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle (again continuing on)   Although Sam (Mr 13 year old) did ask what flavour ice-cream is that meant to be?  I said Chocolate & Boysenberry (Hummm, Ok Mum....) 🤣 Anyway on to the measurements.... a few simple cards

Hi there, Just thought I'd share a few simple cards I've made recently, as I'm teeing up doing a class for the guys and girls at the Chiropractors that I go to, as I'm totally unsure of their abilities when it comes to crafting, so I'll take these in with me and see what they think: this Waterfront Stamp set is such an easy set to use, to create amazing images with!  Oh and I 've just discovered something really cool, on page 149 in the catalogue there are some cards featured showing this set with 2 inkpads, twine, a clear block and cards with envelopes, and although I'd heard about it I'd not really comprehended that Stampin' Up! have made things really easy and bundled them!!  check it out, Waterfront Cards Supplies set .  Anyway onto the next card This one uses the stamp set that goes with the Calligraphy Essentials Project Kit , Calligraphy Essentials stamp set , then some of the brights colours with daubers.  Nice and easy, and a prett

And now for something different!

Hi There, I saw a couple of videos done by Jennifer McGuire, where she's used dies to create borders on her cards, partial cutting using the bigshot, so I was inspired to give it a go.....  thought I'd share with you! This was my initial go, have to admit it was a little tricky to cut out the excess bits, I've used the beautiful dies from Flourish thinlits , which considering you get 10 beautiful dies is remarkably good value at $49! then I tried out the flowers in the same Flourish thinlits, and made it into a card; Couldn't resist adding the Glitter Enamel Dots in the centre of the flowers (they're so pretty!) then moving on...... (I had some Old Olive cardstock cut to the right size, hence all the green lol) I've gone back to the big die in the set to create the top border, and the scalloped line at the top was the pink cut out on the previous card (good to use up the proverbial scraps)  considered the fact that I've not used the pink's

Interactive Cards Class December 2017

Hi Everyone, As promised at the end of the last post, here are the "interactive Cards" I'll be teaching in December, were are doing Double Cascade Cards.  We'll be making 2 of them.  The class cost is $20, and there are 2 classes that day, 10.30am and 7.30pm - do make sure you have booked your place, as there is a limit of 6 in my classroom.  Otherwise you can order a kit from me instructions and pre-cut papers, and I will mail it out to you (let me know) the only thing I can't do with the kits is pre-stamp them (which is only the words) in both these cards. Kits cost $15 with $2 postage. Moving on the first card is this one: this uses the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set , the detailed dragonfly thinlit dies , the Pansy Punch , 1/2" circle punch and the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper .  And the 2nd card is this one: this one uses the gorgeous Year of Cheer Designer Series Paper , Gold, Silver and Champagne foil sheets, Seasonal Layers thinli

Card for June's Classes

Hi Everyone, Yea! I'm organised enough to be able to post the cards that we'll be making in June, the dates for classes this month are Saturday 3rd June at 10am in Maryborough, Wednesday 7th at 10.30am in Kangaroo Flat, and Wednesday 7th June 7.30pm in Laanecoorie,    I'll confirm that in an email to everyone!  I'll also being going down to Geelong well Corio to be exact to do a class down there (that's on Monday 5th June) if you're interested in that class let me know and I'll contact the lady who's organising it to see how much extra space there is. If you've missed the excitement, the new catalogue is going to be released on 1st June, therefore I have been able to use a heap of *new stuff* how exciting!!  First up is this card using the new Daisy punch, and the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper (so you'll have a choice what goes down the bottom) and there is a lovely stamp set that goes with it too, which is what the saying and the ti

Sneak Peek time again :)

Hi Everyone, thought I'd show you a couple more cards I've been having a go at with my new stamp sets from the upcoming 2017/18 Annual Catalogue. Oh, before I forget, please could someone try and comment on my blog, as nobody has for ages, and I'm a bit concerned that I've locked something! First up this card uses the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, Colourful Seasons Stamp Set and the matching Colour Theory Designer Series Paper - love these snowflake dies (so delicate) Oh and the branch is a die too!  Next is this card, again using the Colourful Seasons Stamp set, and there's a new set of 3 word dies, "Lovely Words" obviously this one is "friend" lol! Ok, what else do I have to show you? Oh yes this one, isn't it sweet? how cute are the little birds? Its one of the new hostess stamp sets (Feathery Friends) and I've used all the new colours Berry Burst, Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, and Fresh fig (also with a bit of P
