Something Saturday - Cascading Pleated Fold Card

Image
Hi There Creators, I promised when I was showing off my swap cards from OnStage that I'd work out how to create a couple of cards I received. So, here we go, I have discovered they're called Cascading Pleated Fold Cards! (good start) Here are my 2 cards I made using this technique, I figured I could have a go at both landscape and portrait cards. 😍 The first one is made using the absolutely gorgeous Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper . It took a bit of cutting to get it right as I wanted each scene in front to echo the scene behind, but I think I got it! Then the card I made up in the video ended up like this, I've used the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (which is happily continuing onto the next catalogue!), and the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle (again continuing on)   Although Sam (Mr 13 year old) did ask what flavour ice-cream is that meant to be?  I said Chocolate & Boysenberry (Hummm, Ok Mum....) 🤣 Anyway on to the measurements.... I worked out that

Cards for classes in December

Hi Everyone I feel like I say this every month, but Wow hasn't November gone fast! lol Classes next month are on Maryborough - Saturday 2nd at 10am (bring Christmassy party food!)  Kangaroo Flat Wednesday 13th 10.30am (again the Christmassy party food), and Laanecoorie Wednesday 13th 7pm (see the note at the end). These are the cards we'll be creating: first up I love this Eclipse Technique, very simple when you know how!  I've used the Large Letters Framelit dies   and the Musical Season Stamp set Card #2 This one uses the Christmas Quilt Photopolymer Bundle (stamps and dies), and also the matching Quilted Christmas Designer Series Paper . On to Card #3: this one uses on of my favourite stamp sets Every Good Wish Stamp set , inks it up with 3 different colours, and frames it :) And last but not least Card #4: this one uses the Tags and Trimmings stamp set, Be Merry Designer Series Paper , and the fabulous Everyday label Punch, which has rapidly

Interactive Cards Class Next Tuesday

Hi Everyone, We're doing Never Ending Cards on Tuesday 17th October, if you'd like to join in, the classes are 10.30am and 7.30pm, or you can order a kit from me.  I can't stamp the kit, but you can add your own images, as the main part will be in the kit (cardstock, cut and scored and Designer Series Paper) and the gate will be cut out too (for card #2) Here are the 2 cards we'll be making, they each have 4 "pages" so I've done a little video for each, otherwise it would have to be 8 photos! Card #1 uses the Bundle of Love Specialty Designer Series Paper , along with Musical Season Stamp set and matching Musical Instrument Dies (comes as a bundle - yay!) Card #2 uses the gorgeous Detailed Gate thinlit , Vintage Leaves Stamp set , Number of Years Stamp set and Large Numbers Framelits , and also the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper .  Isn't the gate so gorgeous? If you are interested in ordering the kit, or coming to one of the clas

Sneak Peek #2: Musical Season

Image
Hi Everyone, the new Holiday catalogue comes out on 1st September, and as a demonstrator I get to pre-order from it (yay!)  one of the sets that especially took my fancy was one called Musical Season bundled with the Musical Instruments framelit dies, mainly for the Treble Clef that is in the framelits, being a singer, musical stuff appeals to me (and I know a lot of other musical people too) This first card uses the Sheet Music Background Stamp in Smoky Slate to begin with, initally I'd done the instruments in Night of Navy, but the card looked too bland, so I ended up making a bit more Christmassy with the Real Red and Old Olive colours, of course the Treble Clef!, it has little dots of silver glitter on the side pattern pieces, which you can just see. The other card I was able to make today is this one: how cool is the French Horn?, I like the sayings and the holly sprig is a lovely stamp too, only one other stamp in the set is a little drummer boy, which I didn't ha
