Something Saturday - Cascading Pleated Fold Card

Image
Hi There Creators, I promised when I was showing off my swap cards from OnStage that I'd work out how to create a couple of cards I received. So, here we go, I have discovered they're called Cascading Pleated Fold Cards! (good start) Here are my 2 cards I made using this technique, I figured I could have a go at both landscape and portrait cards. 😍 The first one is made using the absolutely gorgeous Meandering Meadows Designer Series Paper . It took a bit of cutting to get it right as I wanted each scene in front to echo the scene behind, but I think I got it! Then the card I made up in the video ended up like this, I've used the Bright & Beautiful Designer Series Paper (which is happily continuing onto the next catalogue!), and the Ice Cream Swirl Bundle (again continuing on)   Although Sam (Mr 13 year old) did ask what flavour ice-cream is that meant to be?  I said Chocolate & Boysenberry (Hummm, Ok Mum....) 🤣 Anyway on to the measurements.... I worked out that

January's Tag card

Image
Hi, If you order from me this month, you'll be receiving this Tag Card (unless you order over $180) then you'll receive January's Mail Out Class :) So here is the Tag Card: I have used the Coffee Cafe bundle (stamps and thinlits) along with the matching Coffee Break Designer Series Paper .  To put your card together, fold 1/2" over on each of the pieces of Designer Series Paper attaching the flap down well, then sponge round the edge of each, and adhere them to your card. Lastly add your tag to the front of the card using dimensionals (tuck the twine under, or trim it off).  It would look quite nice on a scrap page too I reckon, what do you think? If you have ordered over $180 of goodies, you'll receive not only 2 Sale-a-Bration items but from me you'll be getting this January Mail out Card Class which uses the Sweet Soiree Embellishment Kit (included).  If you would like the kit, but can't manage the $180 I do have it available for $25, let me kn

Coffee & Cards Class on Monday 20th Nov

Hi Everyone, My 2nd Coffee&Cards class in Dunolly is on again this coming Monday .  I was inspired by one of my swaps from OnStage, having had in my mind that I wanted to use the Coffee Cafe suite of products but wanting to somehow tie it in with Christmas, I got given a card that had 2 coffee cups with Christmas sayings on them.  Highly observant me, hadn't realised that there is a set in the Holiday Catalogue that actually coordinates with the Coffee Cafe framelit dies ! it's called Merry Cafe (on page 46), Ha who would have known? lol However as I don't have that set, I've gone with one that is on the Extravaganza list - on 20 Nov you'll be able to buy this stamp set "Every Good Wish" for 20% less!! on that day only (let me know if you want to see the list!) Oh and the Coffee Cup framelits are on the list with 20% off too! Anyway on to the cards: This makes me think of Christmas in Australia, due to the heat, and to me it's a cold dri

Got a new stamp set and dies!

Hi Everyone, well surprise, surprise I bought another new Stamp set and matching dies! lol This time I figured because I'm doing a "Coffee&Cards" class I should really have the Coffee Cafe Bundle See? how appropriate! So, I finally set to work with it and created these 2 cute little cards....... The cards are small (dinky I'd say), the cardstock measures 7 x 14.8cm, and then scored at 7.4cm (you can get 6 out of a piece of A4) Kind of loving the cute little Corrugated elements too!  (the little heart and oval)  and this evening I have just discovered that there is a cute tiny coffee cup that is cut out with the dies too that's in the Designer Series Paper (Coffee break Designer Series Paper)! Umm I can feel some more playing with it coming along now I know about that....... Ironically I don't actually drink hot drinks (tea/coffee) however I do like my iced coffee/mocha, so I'm seeing those ice cubes in a drink lol. I hope this inspire
